Last Plane Out of Saigon's latest event was with the Rotary Club of San Marcos, Texas. Author Richard Pena was the guest speaker for the organization on September 23, 2015. In addition to speaking, he was able to do a book signing for the organization. You can find links to the pictures below! Many members in the group were veterans like Pena, and enjoyed hearing about his own experiences. Richard Pena always appreciates reaching out to new people, not only to share the lessons recorded in Last Plane Out of Saigon, but because of what he learns from those he presents to. The Rotary Club of San Marcos were gracious hosts. Their dedication to service above self was evident and the impact Pena had at the event was mirrored in his respect for the group and its mission. The organization's meetings are held every Wednesday at Dick's Classic Garage Car Museum. After the meeting and book signing came to a close, Pena was given a full tour of the Museum by the Rotary's Sergeant-At-Arms, Brian Pauli. Pauli is also the Managing Director of the Museum. Pena was delighted by the cars and their ties to history. It was a wonderful way to close out the event. Click here to check out photos from the Museum, and once again a heartfelt thank you to the San Marcos Rotary Club!
